ARTS & EDUCATION VISUAL LITERACY

Where you welcome me, 2019. By Khaffi Beckles

See that again. Visual literacy

Hot Sun Caribbean Contemporary Art is dedicated to the development of visual literacy skills. Once a year we will highlight one artwork to explore, examine and develop visual thinking with you. In partnership with Dr. Daniela Fifi, a certified Visual Thinking Strategies Coach and Museum Educator, this page will prompt you to look beyond formal entry points of Art to discover more intimate relationships with Art that strengthen meaning-making, interpretation and negotiation skills with images. We invite you to take your time, to look at these artworks, revisit again and again to see all the details within.
