The Negro Bible: A non-existant manual? 2021
Miguel Keerveld
The artwork is a manifestation of a 3D quilt that results from a reflective ritual on social issues. It constructs knowledge and intuition in conversations with an imagination. This imaginary is a dialogue between two 18th century figures in Suriname, known as Boni and Kwasi, a metaphor for both sides of the empire. Objects in this installation are based on elements collected between 2010 and 2020.
